The 2018 state science and technology awards were announced in Beijing on jan 8, 2019. A total of 285 projects (candidates) were selected, including 38 national natural science awards, 67 national technological invention awards and 173 national science and technology progress awards.Among them, the preparation and shape-controlling technology of laser sintering material for integral casting of complex parts won the second prize of national science and technology progress award in 2018.

The preparation and shape control technology of laser-sintered materials for integral casting of complex parts include three innovations: 1. High-performance SLS powder and its preparation method; 2.2. On-line measurement and regulation of complex (core) SLS process;3. Quantitative prediction and process optimization methods of integral casting deformation, slag inclusion and hole loose of complex parts.

According to the introduction, based on the above innovation results, the whole casting technology of high performance and complex parts is created, which breaks through the whole casting problem of high performance and complex parts such as aero engine casing and aero engine turbo pump.The project has obtained 24 invention patents and 13 software Copyrights.Experts appraised that "the overall technology has reached the international advanced level, and some indicators are leading in the world".The results have been applied to hundreds of domestic and foreign companies, such as Air China engine and xi 'an aerospace engine, and have achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.It has won two first prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels, leading the technological progress of China's foundry industry and greatly enhancing its international competitiveness.
